On April 25, Qingxi gas storage of Zhongyuan Oilfield was officially put into operation, which is the first gas storage built by Sinopec in Southwest China.
Qingxi gas storage is located in Qingxi Town, Xuanhan County, Dazhou city. It is a supporting project of Sichuan East gas transmission pipeline and Dahua special line. It mainly undertakes the tasks of natural gas reserve, emergency gas supply and seasonal peak shaving in Dazhou, Chongqing and surrounding areas and areas along the gas source pipeline.
Qingxi gas storage has a designed storage capacity of 349 million cubic meters, an effective working gas volume of 194 million cubic meters, and a designed daily peak shaving gas supply capacity of 1.5 million cubic meters, which can meet the daily gas demand of 3 million households.
"The natural gas produced by Qingxi gas storage does not contain hydrogen sulfide. The gas produced by Puguang gas field is used as the main source of backing gas, and the gas source is sufficient." Liu Changshong, deputy chief engineer of Zhongyuan Oilfield and deputy manager of Puguang branch, introduced that the gas storage not only has the reservoir, caprock and production capacity conditions for the construction of underground gas storage, meets the conditions of "injection, storage and production", but also is far away from cities, residents and structures. It has good safety, reliability, technical feasibility and economic rationality.
How does the gas storage work? It is reported that after the gas storage is completed and put into operation, the periodic operation mode will be adopted. Every summer, surplus natural gas in the pipeline and gas target market enters the gas storage for storage, which is the gas injection period; When the natural gas supply in the target market in winter is insufficient, the natural gas extracted from the gas storage will enter the pipeline and gas target market after treatment, which is the gas production period. This can not only play the role of gas storage and peak shaving, ensure the warmth of the people in Sichuan and Chongqing in winter, but also alleviate the imbalance of production and sales in Puguang gas field in winter and summer, and promote the long-term stable production of the gas field.
